What To Do When You Feel Like Poo

Since Thursday, I have not been feeling my best. Although I managed to make it through work on Thursday and Friday, I felt miserable. My major symptoms are that I'm extremely tired and my throat is swollen and sore. I've had Mono before, yet I've read before that once you have it, it stays with you forever even though it might be dormant. What I have seems to be a virus, but I wonder if it's allergies too. Louisville is NOTORIOUS for its allergy problems, and apparently it's pretty bad out there right now. As much as I want to be outdoors, it's probably best if I stay inside today.

This is day #4 without training and obviously it's killing me (figuratively) that I don't have the energy to go run or swim or do anything else. However, my body is already weak, and taxing it with rigorous activity is just going to hurt me even more.

What am I doing to help myself? Lots of sleep, and this:

Wheatgrass powder (as far as I know) is really good for your health, and mixing it in a smoothie or fruit juice makes it drinkable. Another blogger that I know of relies on wheatgrass powder for when she is sick, and so I thought I'd follow in her footsteps. The stuff truly tastes terrible, and if you have a weak gag reflex then I may not recommend it, but I'm sucking it up and drinking it anyway.

I hope everyone has a healthy and happy weekend. I'll be sitting inside watching the World Cup.
