Another Whole Foods Trip!
Beans, bananas, hummus (of course), cucumber, broccoli, spinach, tempeh, TLC crackers (never had 'em before), sprouts, mushrooms, frozen edamame, lemons, Fage plain Greek yogurt, salsa, Worcestershire sauce, light canola mayo, and ketchup.
The problem with moving to a new place is that you end up having to re-stock your fridge with things that you expect all fridges to have: ketchup, mustard, mayo, hot sauce, etc. I'm getting there!
I've decided to stray from flavored yogurt for a while. The flavorings, although they taste great, add quite a bit of sugar and I'd rather sweeten my own or add fruit or what have you.
The mushrooms and Worcestershire sauce are for some black bean burgers that I plan to make sometime this week - I'm sure they will do better than my last veggie burgers!
I store my bananas in the fridge. They last A LOT longer that way. The skin may turn brown, eventually, but the fruit is still good.
I also made a trip to Great Harvest today!
Guess how much I paid for both loaves? 25 cents. I have a Great Harvest card and after you buy 10 loaves or sandwiches, you get a loaf or a pack of cookies for free. I had a gift card for $5, so I used that to pay for my 10th loaf ($5.25) and got the Pumpkin Chocolate Chip bread. That should make for some good breakfasts this week.
In about an hour, I'm going running with Steph in her neighborhood. It'll be nice to have a change of scenery and maybe avoid a few hills too. This time we won't run in the dark either!
I'm so bummed I missed you guys last night but I'm feeling better today so hopefully we can work something out soon. I love Great Harvest! I had no idea they had a club, I need to look into that ;-)
